Présentation de Paul Mabray et Jasper Morris

Paul Mabrau

Paul Mabray is the CEO and founder of the think tank, VinTank, located in Napa, California. VinTank is one of those innovative and creative agencies helping the wine industry to understand and master all the new technologies. Paul is now considered as one of the best and brightest expert in that field with a long experience in the wine industry.

After consulting for some of the major names of the Californian wine industry, he founded Inertia Group and was instrumental in implementing several e-commerce and softwares still in use in the wine industry. In 2009, he founded Vintank and launched the Social Connect Technology, formerly Cruvee, which helps wineries to monitor their social media.

Jasper Morris
Jasper Morris studied literature before founding a successful wine-importing company Morris & Verdin in 1981. He later studied to become a Master of wine. Among his classmates, there were Jancis Robinson and his own sister Arabella.

When Berry Bros & Rudd acquired Morris & Verdin in 2003, Jasper Morris was appointed purchasing director. In 2008, with colleagues at Berry Bros, he published “The Future of Wine Report,” speculating on the state of the wine industry in the coming 50 years.

He first discovered Burgundy at the age of 23 and wrote The White Wines of Burgundy. In the thirty years he spent in the region, he witnessed great changes as small estate-owners started making really good wines and exporting them. In his quiet home of Bouilland, a beautiful village 10 km North of Savigny les Beaune, he synthesized the information he had collected over the years in a book which is bound to become a reference book if not a classic: “Inside Burgundy.” (2010)

Jasper Morris is also a powerful lecturer. He may import Burgundy wine for Berry Bros but he has exported his English sense of humour.
